Mortality.

Yesterday, I was a child
Erratic, playful, fresh and wild
Until the time I was a boy
Distracted by some shiny toy
From here I grew into a teen
Embarrassed, awkward, clumsy, keen
And later on I was a man
Decisions trembled in my hands
But then a space where happiness
Chose not to bloom and not progress
I died today, so never knew
The chance to cherish, or love you.
