Under lock and key.

Give me back my broken heart
You’ve had it for too long
And though it’s bruised and battered
I will try to make it strong
You said you would look after it;
That really wasn’t true
I gave you vulnerability
But had nothing from you

Give me back my broken heart
You’ve shown that you don’t care
So now I must protect it
Once again, that isn’t fair
I’ll lock it in a wooden box
Then throw away the key
And trust nobody else with it
In fact, not even me.
