Stop, thief!

I’d like to report a robbery
I’m not sure where to start
It’s plain to see he took from me
My aching, lonely heart

It doesn’t really matter
For rarely was it used
But still I care, it’s so unfair
To leave me bashed and bruised

I should have been more careful
And kept it safe, I know
But in he came, and played a game
Then dealt this final blow

I’d like to report a robbery
But perhaps there was no crime
I let it go, my heart, I know
So I’m just wasting your time
